Tourism in a Wellbeing Economy

After a summer break, Wellbeing Economy Cymru returns with an open discussion forum to explore a Wellbeing Economy vision for Wales’ tourism sector.

Recent reports indicate that Wales is currently underperforming in its ability to attract visitors from in or out of Wales. The Commons Welsh Affairs Committee found that of the 41 million tourists who visited the UK from overseas in 2019, only one million visited Wales.

We are asking,

Is there a new and achievable path to success based on a sustainable tourism industry that has a focus on local economies and communities?

We will shortly announce our panel for the evening. This discussion forum is open to all, and everyone is welcome! The event will take place on Zoom.
