Activism for a Wellbeing Economy

One of the reasons we have such a strong emerging Wellbeing Economy movement in Wales is thanks to the hard work and dedication of a mixed collective of activists and changemakers, on a wide range of issues that matter to them. What motivates people to step up to try and make a difference, how can we encourage more people from all backgrounds to be active in furthering Wales’ wellbeing economy, and what different types of activism are helping to build our wellbeing economy?

Our panel:

Carol Shepherd – STOPP
Ali Momena – EYST Wales
Marcus Bailie – XR Cymru
Poppy Stowell-Evans – Youth Climate Ambassadors
Hayley Richards – Pontypridd Local Doughnut

We asked our panel of activists in Wales to discuss…

  • What does ‘activism’ mean to you?
  • What motivates you to make change?
  • What are the challenges facing the movement to create change in Wales?

This powerful conversation is worth a listen for anyone who is feeling discouraged in their activism, or anyone questioning whether they can really make a difference.
